Dental abstracts

The good thing about on-line calendars is that there are no crossings out. This week around 90% of my appointments have been ‘rearranged’; even my dentist moved yesterday’s appointment to this evening, hence my slightly irritable typing as the anaesthetic wears off. Despite threats that root canal work was almost a certainty, enough sound tooth remained to shorten today’s treatment (and the bill) by significant margin. I quite like my new dentist, he does not believe in promoting expensive cosmetic work just so that he can buy a new sports car and he also has enough high-tech equipment to satisfy the compete dental-geek.

Still, these rearranged appointments have allowed me enough free time to draft a couple of abstracts for UKOUG papers for this November; they might come up a bit lightweight, but let’s see how the judging panel see them.
